China's Video Market Is Likely To Triple In The Next Year

TIN (CHINA)--On 6 August 2007, Juniper Research via Telecommunications Industry News stated China’s mobile video market will nearly triple in the next year. The Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 will be a major boost for the technology. Juniper’s report predicts that subscriber totals will grow from 3.7 million in 2007 to 9.3 million in 2008, as mobile video revenues soar from $36 million to $98 million. The Author, Dr. Elisa Kuang, states the Value Added Service (VAS) sector along with the development of new services is the fuel behind the 3G arena. Dr. Kuang also stated foreign companies face many hurdles in the Chinese market as China presents a different operating environment from North America and Europe.
