Beijing Olympics Torch To Be Lit In China On 8 August 2008

LTC (CHINA)--Lets Travel China reports on 25 March 2008, the torch for the XXIX Olympiad will be lit in Olympia, Greece. From there it travels through Greece and arrives in Beijing on 31 March 2007. The torch then departs China for a 130-day, 85,000-mile journey – the longest relay the Olympic Flame has ever traveled. After spanning five continents, climbing Mt. Everest, tracing the footsteps of Marco Polo along the Silk Road, the Olympic Flame will arrive at Beijing’s National Stadium on 8 August 2008, officially signifying the beginning of the spectacular XXIX Olympiad: the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
