Samsung Announced Industry's Multi-Standard, Multi-Band Mobile TV Chipset

TGC (ASIA)--On 6 July 2007, 3g Company.uk.com announced Samsung reported the industry's first 65 nanometer multi-standard channel decoder and multi-bank radio frequency (RF) tuner chipset that supports multi-digital mobile TV standards which include DVB-H/T, DAB-IP, ISDB-T, and terrestrial DMB for the multiple standards in different countries around the world. The initial product launch targets are for Europe and Asia markets. Mass production is slated for the fourth quarter of 2007. The TV chipset requires no external low noise amplifier (LNA) and additional integrated circuits (ICs), reducing the cost of the total system.
