Australian Federal Police Train Chinese For 2008 Olympics

FD (AUSTRALIA)--On 25 June 2007, Fairfax Digital states Australian Federal Police (AFP) are training the Chinese in counter-terrorism strategies ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and are expanding intelligence-sharing networks there. AFP officers went to Beijing to watch Chinese police perform a mock hostage exercise in April, after conducting counter-terrorism training with them in Indonesia. The exercises, which follow increased cooperation between the two forces over the past year, have concerned some Australian politicians.
