Lenovo Delivers 14,000 Information Technology (IT) Testing Devices For Olympic Games

PR (CHINA)--On 3 August 2007, Product Review states Lenovo, an IT manufacturer delivered more than 3,500 pieces of equipment recently, which included 2,375 desktop computers, 141 notebooks and 140 servers, which total to 14,000 IT devices delivered for the Olympic Games. Lenovo devices have a high reliability score as seen in the chart, and will likely be used for testing. Yang Yichun, Technology Director for the event's Organizing Committee , states that the upcoming tests are a full rehearsal for the 2008 Games. Lenovo, one of the largest PC makers acquired IBM's PC operations for approximately USD 1.75 billion in 2005. In China Lenovo also sells mobile handsets and servers. Legend Group Holdings, controlled by the Chinese government, owns a majority stake in Lenovo.
