iDirect Is Chosen To Provide China's CrossSat Telecom Technology With Satellite Hubs & Routers

PRN (HERNDON, VA)--On 30 July 2007, PRNewswire states iDirect Inc., today announced a contract win valued at around USD 500,000 from CrossSat Telecom Technology, a major independent oil and gas exploration group based in China. CrossSat has purchased an iDirect iNFINITI universal 5IF satellite hub and 60 iDirect remote satellite routers to create a global IP network supporting both Ku and C satellite bands. CrossSat will provide satellite connectivity to multiple Chinese oiland gas companies, whose operations span China, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. The CrossSat network will support seismic exploration and drilling applications on both terrestrial and offshore drilling platforms. Initial customers include the China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), the nation's largest oil and gas company.This partnership expands the market that serves the diverse needs of the oil and gas industry in China and around the world and likely in time for the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympics.
